Re: new video/audio player 'opt in' is live! |
Trying to view these videos is a challenge even more than the context itself.
http://www.archive.org/details/MIT6.00F08When the instructor displays his desktop, I am unable to make out any characters he types on his screen due to poor video quality. Would this be that the video isn't in HD format, or it is in HD quality but the player can't render HD?
This isn't a projected image on a projector screen, the video switches to a video screen capture.

Re: new video/audio player 'opt in' is live! |
it's neither the old player nor the new player that's the issue.
both would show the same quality, same thing.
however, the .mp4 for these were derived some time ago and we've since
made our .mp4 derivatives be quadruple the pixel count (320x240 ==> 640x480) and ~double the video bitrate (~512kb/s to ~700kb/s).
so i'll rederive all the MIT videos now and that will help for just about everything that doesn't play ogv natively (which is *mostly* firefox).
